Coffee Shop Tycoon (PC)
Coffee Shop Tycoon is a game I've been playing over the next couple of months as it makes its way from development to full release. The premise of the game is fairly simple, you get to run a Coffee Shop and whilst it sounds easy but it really isn't. You need brewers and blenders, seats for patrons, you need to keep food and coffee supplies up and making sure there is enough coffee in the pots to serve customers, you need employees to run your store, new items to keep your store fresh and more. To make sure you got coffee in your pots, you must select the brewer and pick the pot of coffee you want brewed, you can also throw out coffee in order to fill it back up. Make sure you keep an eye on how the coffee beans are as they can go from Fresh to OK to Bad in a hurry and you want to keep your coffee fresh for the customers.
Good service equals reputation points and the more you get, the better it is for your store to be #1, the game also has levels and the more levels you pass the better equipment and eventually a new shop location. Level increases also brings in new coffee and food recipes for your customers to enjoy. Employees can be trained by clicking on them and selecting clicking on the training button, hovering a cursor over an employee shows their skill level and their income, employees will make demands for better pay to keep them happy too. The graphics are simple but that really isn't a problem because the action is the key but the game will have better characters in the future as game development progresses. This game will keep you busy because there is so much to do and it can get overwhelming trying to keep on top of everything but it is a good game overall. Rating 3.5 out of 5 (may change over course of development).
