Automobile Tycoon (PC)

In the 1990's, gamers got to run a car company in the game 'Detroit' and that game has lived on through the decades as a classic in the genre. Those who love their car industry here in 2019 can try out games like Automation and GearCity as both of them also allow gamers to design and sell cars. There is also Production Line, the car designing isn't as intensive as the previously mentioned games but you got to make your production line do what you need to get the cars made and sold. So here I am playing Automobile Tycoon which is made by Chris Kozmik (maker of Stellar Monarch). Gamers can choose to name their company, choose the company logo, choose what time period to start the game and what continent do they want to start at as Europe offers a different challenge level than choosing Australia and Oceania.

Like Detroit, you start the game in an office, you got News, Distribution, Help, Reports, Phone and the door to R&D. Unlike Detroit there is no draw you can open to get your hands on a gun but you can telephone your secretary to tell them you're resigning. News lets you know what technologies have been developed etc, reports are divided up into seven sections and you can find out what competitors have and what consumer demands are for. To keep your money up, you can get a loan from a bank or if you want to sacrifice some game points call a rich uncle to give you some money.

You can design the chassis and the engine of your car, the main thing you got to remember is to make your engine fit your chassis and make sure your factory machinery can actually make the car. You can play with the settings on the speed you want development done, the lower the settings the faster you get things but the trade off is that you will lose quality such as lower fuel consumption or higher safety etc.

Factory is where you can hire workers, change what car model is being worked on and improve your machinery level which ties in what sort of This game is a tough nut to crack as there is so much to consider when making cars and running the business and if you forget one section, there's a chance your business will fail. Funnily enough when writing this, I was finally on a hot streak as consumers brought plenty of the first car and then seamlessly brought my new car too keeping my company in the green and I was having my best run of the game..

Interesting is the fact that the game development has stopped at 1.00.0, either nobody has found bugs or the creator is satisfied with how the game has gone. Rating: 4 out of 5.
