Gridiron Solitaire

Solitaire, a game that whittled away hours when using the old Windows systems.and now you can play Solitaire as a GFL team. I picked the Montana Moose, a team that is decent on running and not so much on passing and away I went into a season. A pre-game segment compares the two teams, while the audio says blah, blah, blah it is important to read the text as it has important information. On Offence, you got the option to Run or Pass, a pass requires you to make three moves before you make good gains and carrying the ball needs two moves before you can get going. If you are in FG range, the FG option will appear and if you are fourth down and not in FG range the Punt option will appear.

If you are on defense, you can pick either 'Defend Run' or 'Defend Pass', in defense you will get a series of cards to use if you cannot make any moves with the cards on screen, this will introduce a new card to hopefully allow you to push the opposition back and prevent them from gaining yards.

There is a big difference between Offence 'Big Play' and Defense 'Big Play', Offence can offer you a card or two before the computer decides on your play. On defense you only have a certain amount and you cannot get a full refill until Half Time, you can get an additional card with every touchdown you score.

It is seven points for a Touchdown and three points for a Field Goal but there is no after touchdown conversion. Late in the game there is an option for onside kick if the scores are tight, there is no certainty that it will fall in your favor.

Overall it is a fun spin on the classic and I certainly look forward to winning more games with the Montana Moose.
